School's out and I'm developing a line of ties. I'm excited.

A little project I worked on during the break, my first info-graphic. It was for my friend who's part of the student Liberal group at Western. This was to commemorate their win in the recent provincial election in October.

Form and Colour: Trophy

We had to design a trophy that reflects one of the Guinness records. It seemed kind od lame at first, but since we had monoliths due the same week, it was definitely more fun than sitting and sanding foam for 6 hours. The trophy had to be comprised of only 3 elements: a sphere/ovoid/half sphere/plinth, cylinder/cone, and a curvilinear line/plane; it also had to t=be painted two non-primary colours. We also had to design the packaging for it, all within the dimensions of 3x3x12".

The record I chose was the most arrows shot in one minute, which is ten, by some guy in Spain. The reason being I could play around with the three elements in order to portray a bow and arrow.

For the packaging I just used a tennis ball tube and used craft paper to disguise the bottom and lid. I'm not happy with my board (IT'S HIDEOUS), but whatever, I does the job and Gregory (the prof) likes it.

Mass Pro Lab 1

The purpose of this assignment was to design a jig to produce a simple kitchen, washroom, or desk product (ie. soap dish, marker holder, etc) I chose -and was determined- to make a butter dish. I think I stressed over my idea too much since I saw some designs fail around me, though it was a pretty basic design and I'm very mush satisfied with the end product. Here are some snapshots from my lab report.

2nd time around...

Wow, second year is soo stressful. But good stressful.

I haven't posted in a while but i'm going to try to post for eery review/critique we have at school. Not to mention, tumblr takes up a lot of my spare time ;P

Two weeks ago, I had two midterms. This past week, we had two projects fue, with one midterm. We have 1 or 2 projects due every week for the next 6 weeks. Then finals, then xmas, then nyc (CHRISTMAS COME NOW)
